Biography

Mr. Hussein is a highly experienced legal professional, specializing in commercial, corporate, mergers and acquisitions and banking and finance. His expertise extends to conducting cross-border transactions, capital markets, and banking and finance deals. Notably, he excels in drafting, negotiating, and executing high-value transactions for corporations across various industries, including F&B, facility agreements, natural resources, manufacturing, construction, tourism, telecommunications, and e-payment sectors. His vast experience covers a wide range of agreements, including manufacturing, supply, agency, distribution, transaction documents, loan agreements, and facility and syndicated facility agreements.

In the field of Corporate M&A, Mr. Hussein has an impressive track record, providing counsel in significant transactions. He advised Hassan Allam Construction on the sale of a stake to IFC, exceeding 500 Million EGP in value. Additionally, he played a key role in SEB Internationale's Joint Venture with Zahran Group, valued at 1 Billion EGP. Furthermore, his representation of Edita in its Initial Public Offering, valued at EGP 2,012,882,047.5, earned recognition from IFLR as the best IPO in the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Hussein also guided Eli Lilly Egypt S.A.E. in the sale of its pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, among other noteworthy transactions.

In the realm of Banking and Finance, Mr. Hussein's accomplishments include representing prominent financial institutions and companies in various loan facilities. He provided legal counsel to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt, Banque Audi, Banque Misr, and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) in granting an EGP 2.5 billion Senior and Mezzanine Istisn’a Ijara/Istisn’a Facilities to Al Sharkeya Sugar Manufacturing Company SAE, earning recognition from IFLR as the Islamic Finance Deal of the Year. He also represented Qalah Holding Egypt, EBRD, Arab African International Bank S.A.E., Commercial International Bank S.A.E., and the Egyptian Government in bond issuances, among other significant transactions.

Mr. Hussein's professional memberships include being a board member of the Berkeley Global Society. He pursued higher education at the University of California Berkeley, obtaining an LLM in 2019. His academic journey includes a Bachelor of Law from the University of Law London in 2014 and a Bachelor of Business with Law from Kingston University in 2011.
